HAB 1 is a simple, easy to build bunker system that comes in a kit form and is capable of air-dispatch. One section or squad of soldiers and one piece of in-service earth moving equipment can construct two HAB 1 units in two days.
Extensive blast and fragmentation testing against large mortar rounds has been carried out on HAB 1, with no penetration of fragments entering the living space.
The length of HAB 1 can be increased, by joining additional kits in an end-to-end configuration. Its modular design allows for many different configurations.
