Afghan-bound Seabees get Hands-on Training with HESCO barriers

Gulfport, Mississippi, USA

HESCO training with Seabees
HESCO conducted an extensive training session for more than 200 Navy SeaBees at Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

The training, broken down into four three-hour sessions with between 50 and 60 SeaBees each, demonstrated proper filling and repair techniques, how to work with curves and corners, stacking and splitting methods, and tricks during construction.

“We heard ‘HESCO Training’ and thought there nothing more to it than filling them with dirt,” said one SeaBee at the training. “I am very surprised with how much I was able to learn and how much you can do with it.”

The SeaBees engineers will be taking full advantage of their training in the near future, as they are being deployed across Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
