Visit to 1st Armoured Combat Engineers
11th Oct, Baumholder, Germany

HESCO staff Jonathan Bird and Tom Redfern recently paid a visit to Alpha Company of the 40th Armoured Combat Engineers at their base in Baumholder. The 1st Armoured have recently returned from deployment in Iraq, where they were engaged in building base perimeter security, amongst other operations.

Pictured is Jonathan Bird with Cpl. Samperisi, who alone has filled an estimated 15,000 cells of Concertainer®, together with his front loader Unimog, affectionately named Larissa. Special mention must go to Sgt. Brian Jellison, who originally contacted Hesco to tell us of the exploits of his hard working Corporal.

Jonathan and Tom presented the whole brigade with specially designed t-shirts bearing the 40th Armoured crest, and a range souvenirs as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts, and for using our products.

AUSA Exhibition

25th - 27th Oct, Washington DC, USA

The 50th anniversary of the Association of the US Army's (AUSA) annual meeting was a great success for HESCO, who were there to say a big “thank you” to US servicemen who had used Concertainer.

The design of the stand was intended to look like a makeshift camp bar made from Concertainer, with flags, military memorabilia added to complete the authenticity. In addition to the bar,  the stand also had a Harley Davidson Fat Boy on display - the first prize for the current photo competition.

Refreshments were served free to all who paid us a visit, and the bar was continually busy throughout the show with patrons ranging from PFC to 3 Star Generals.

The HESCO bar will re-open at next year’s event and we look forward to drinking a beer with you and hearing about your experiences of our product.
