Hesco has proved that
sandbagging is a way of the past. 10 men filling and placing 1,500 sandbags
takes 7 hours. This same amount using Hesco can be done with 2 men and a
suitable loader in approximately 20 minutes, saving valuable time, and possibly
lives and resources.
Soil erosion has stripped
land from the US at an alarming rate. Communities
that reside on coastal and river waterways have been watching their properties
virtually wash away. Hesco Bastion is very effective controlling erosion. In
some instances, it has helped restore the shore and in almost every instance it
prevents the shore from eroding further.
Whether it be sand, dirt or rock, Hesco can be filled with any indigenous material. Stronger and more durable than ordinary Gabions, Hesco is made from a welded wire mesh with a geo-textile insert. Hot dipped "heavy" galvanized. Quickly erected, inherently strong and inexpensive, Hesco is the product of choice.
Homeland Security: Hesco has been used by the military for over 14 years. It provides protection from blasts, giving organizations peace of mind in a time where terrorism has come to the United States. Nuclear Plants, Petroleum and Chemical Plants, Water Treatment Plants and numerous other facilities that are deemed vulnerable by the Office of Homeland Security.
Pictures from Patrick AFB, where the AFTAC building is only 75 yards from the A1A highway on the Florida <Coast. 2,200 feet of 7' x 7' Hesco was used. Cells were erected in 8 hours and the entire project was completed in less than 72 hours.
