HESCO Concertainer units have been widely used for force protection in conflicts from Bosnia to Afghanistan. They are used around military camps, guard posts, hospitals, stores and key public buildings.
This success has prompted the use of the system to protect sensitive civilian installations, such as embassies, government buildings, oil refineries and power stations.

Organic material can be placed in the cells to support the growth of natural plants. The defensive qualities remain; the plantings merely hide the structure, enabling it to form a seamless part of the environment.
