The security of Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport), Florida’s largest passenger & cargo terminal, was questioned during the mounting concern over homeland security, following 9/11.
This key facility is typical of the kind of infrastructure that must be protected from terrorist threat. HESCO Concertainer has been used in force protection around the world, over the past 15 years – the ultimate test of its unparalleled blast-mitigation properties.
A blast-mitigation wall, constructed with HESCO Concertainer units, will be used while staff conduct checks of cargo containers or other cargo transport units within the port facility for substances and devices dangerous to the facility and vessel.
The installation was started and completed within two days. |
